Hello Grade 12 families-
Thank you to all who attended our April 9th prom planning meeting. It was our best attendance yet and several more helpers were recruited! Just awesome. 😊
Here are some important updates:
- Gift Card Raffle – ticket sales are ongoing for our $500 gift card raffle. We are at the school each Friday lunch period until May 10th to collect tickets/money (if it’s easier to e-transfer us the money and just have student turn in tickets, that’s okay too. Just include a note with ticket return indicating the e-transfer amount sent).
- May 4th Adult Dance at Brightwood – tickets are on sale now and everyone is welcome. Ticket purchase can be done in advance ($15 per ticket) by e-transfer to dhscommunityprom@gmail.com or tickets will be available at the door for $20. Silent auction items are due for inventory/collection NOW so if you have an item to offer, please email us with item and item value and we can coordinate pick-up.
- Prom – Sat, June 22nd is getting close! The prom theme, as voted by students, is ‘Starry Night’. Ticket sales will take place likely from mid to end-May. We want to emphasize that the price of prom tickets will largely depend on the success of these last two fundraisers. Every raffle/dance ticket sold makes a difference!!
What we need from you now!!!
- Sell raffle tickets
- Buy tickets for the dance and/or promote it on your socials
- Contact us about any silent auction items
- Also…talk to any Grade 11 parents you know – they are needed for chaperone shifts at our prom!
